[Open.ogc] New web map published that utilizes NOAA's geoserver

Tim,

I'm glad to see you got your site online.  The site looks good! Thanks 
for sharing.

At some point (if you have some spare time available of course) it would 
be helpful to publish a howto or short blog post or something on how to 
create a service like this.  It could be added to the 'Open Source GIS' 
Google Site (https://sites.google.com/a/noaa.gov/noaa-open-source-gis/), 
or even the NOAA GIS Community site.

I haven't yet tried it myself, but there is a QGIS OpenGeo/GeoServer 
plugin that was put out late last year.  I'm hoping that will make at 
least the data upload and style configuration parts of the workflow 
easier than they are at the moment.  It would be nice though to have 
some insight on the rest of the process you followed, including creating 
the SQL views and accompanying dynamic styles, and even tying that into 
the OpenLayers client, if you wanted to go that far.
