The Blues extended their unbeaten run to four matches as they earned a draw
with Stoke at St Andrew's in a low-key Championship encounter.

Despite having two-thirds of the ball, Stoke failed to create anything
noteworthy and would have remained goalless had John Ruddy not made an
important save.

Krystian Bielik had a chance to seal victory, but Nick Powell blocked his
close-range effort in the closing minutes of the game. Jobe Bellingham also
came close before referee Nick Powell called time on play.
John Ruddy made a crucial stop

Stoke's first chance of the game came in the 22nd minute when Will
Smallbone set up Ben Pearson to curl an effort just wide of John Ruddy's
right-hand post. John Ruddy then made a great save to deny Tyrese Campbell
in the 31st minute by tipping his long-range strike around after Blues
failed to clear their lines from a Smallbone corner kick.

Norwich were unable to break through a stubborn Birmingham defence and will
likely be content with their point as they slip into the relegation zone
after failing to win for the third time in four league games. Nonetheless,
they remain in the top six and hope to pick up victory at home against
Millwall later in the day.

Stoke City have suffered two consecutive 4-0 defeats against Rotherham and
Blackburn Rovers, leaving their chances of returning to the Premier League
looking dim. But they can still be saved with a win against Birmingham
today, and with table-toppers Southampton waiting until Monday, if they
beat Birmingham they would have an opportunity to leapfrog them ahead of
schedule.
Krystian Bielik could have won it

On Monday afternoon (April 10), Stoke and Birmingham played out a goalless
draw in an exciting mid-table Championship encounter at St. Andrew's.

Blues have won four of their last six league games and will look to extend
that streak when they travel to East Anglia on Tuesday night. Norwich City
are on a winless streak after suffering a 2-1 loss at Wigan on Saturday.

On the injury front, Blues will be without Krystian Bielik and Troy Deeney
for their trip to Carrow Road on Tuesday night. After being stretchered off
in the 75th minute against

Huddersfield on Saturday, Bielik is expected to miss the remainder of this
season while Deeney too is likely to miss out due to an injury.

Stoke are currently 14th in the table but have shown enough to make a late
push for a top-half finish. On Bank Holiday Monday, Stoke travel to St.
Andrew's to face an experienced Birmingham side who are eager to get back
on track.
Stoke keeper Jack Bonham made a good save

Jack Bonham made an impressive save as Stoke City and Birmingham shared the
spoils in their Championship draw, leaving both sides nine points clear of
the bottom three. The goalkeeper had previously played for Gillingham but
is now enjoying his second season at Stoke City and hopes to keep their
side in the top half of the table next year.

Krystian Bielik's close-range shot was saved by Morgan Fox two minutes from
time as the game entered stoppage time. Jobe Bellingham then came close
with a volley from Scott Hogan's cross, but Morgan Fox made an excellent
save to prevent it going in.

The goalkeeper was a vital player during the first half, making an
outstanding save from Tyrese Campbell. Despite being the more dominant
team, he failed to create any chances and it was left up to Alex Neil's men
to secure victory.
Jobe Bellingham went close

JOE BELLINGHAM was inches away from scoring his first goal for Birmingham
when Scott Eustace introduced him in the 82nd minute. However, his shot
struck Morgan Fox's hand before being blocked on the line by Stoke keeper
Jack Bonham.

Blues fans won't want to miss this moment. At 17 years old, Bellingham is
already part of the first team squad and has made three appearances off the
bench this season.

He is the younger brother of Dortmund star Jude Bellingham, who has enjoyed
a remarkable career thus far at Borussia Dortmund. His family has been
heavily invested in his development as well.

Liverpool are considered to be the front-runners to sign Bellingham next
summer, with Real Madrid, Manchester United and Manchester City also
showing interest. But there's more than just a charm offensive going on at
Anfield; Liverpool have established a solid relationship with Bellingham's
camp that could pave the way for an agreement in the near future.
