[Open.ogc] How to play the dinosaur game in Chrome even if we are online

For quite a few years now, running out of internet while using Chrome has
been a minor drama. It's annoying to be offline, but in exchange we can
play a few minutes of the dinosaur game, Chrome Dino Run, which Google very
cleverly implemented one day for those moments of distress.

But not only can you entertain yourself with this Easter egg from Mountain
View when you suffer from network outages: you can also play the Dinosaur
game in Chrome even if you have a connection. We explain how.

In 2018, when this game implemented in the browser turned four years old,
it was played around 270 million times each month both from the desktop
version of Chrome and from the mobile version. It is addictive and that is
why it does not hurt to know that you do not need to disconnect from the
internet to play it.

Running it in our Chrome installation is as simple as entering
chrome://dino - https://dinorunner.com/ - and accessing it. Once there, we
will press the space bar and we can start playing as usual.

The Chrome tyrannosaurus game can be played online and for as long as we
want, although it has a time limit: its duration is 17 million years.

We can play the games we want, of course, and go as far as possible,
although with a limit, because it is not infinite: 17 million years.
Approximately how long the species of dinosaur that stars in the game, the
tyrannosaurus rex, better known as t-rex, lived on our planet. Logically
for our species, we could consider this time as "infinite."

And if the t-rex game doesn't work for you, we can play a version called
Dino Swords in which our dinosaur has more than twenty weapons to defend
ourselves or even try to take it to real life to control it with our
movements, although it is not easy. Over time, Microsoft Edge, by the way,
also signed up to have a game a long time ago. It is a function that is
good to take into account, given the growth in popularity of Edge. And to
use it is as easy as entering "edge://surf/" in the address bar of the
Microsoft browser. We just have to wait and see if it becomes as popular a
game, although it's unlikely.
