[Woc-notify] [Ncep.list.ncepoutages] SPC latency Issue Update

Good Evening All, from the last troubleshooting session the NOC had with
Century Link at around 5:00pm this afternoon, Mike Yusuf, From Century Link
Stated he would inform the NOC about his findings on the issue.....Below,
are the latest information that he Provided.......now, I have logged into
the device and ran another test and I saw significant improvement,....I
will continue on monitoring as necessary. Thanks

*Trouble*: Dropped packets



*Status*: CenturyLink Ethernet Repair modified QoS. It's simply a traffic
shaping policy with a 1200K MBS. SAP stats are clear of drops for now. The
order shows this circuit should pass Jumbo frames and this parent port is
only set for MTU of 4018. The customer has confirmed they can pass jumbo
frames without circuit dropping packets. So it does appear we are good now
but customer is going to test for 72 hours.

*Trouble*: Latency



*Status*:

LEC found no trouble: Circuit ordered Business Non-Critical High COS (no
SLA on latency). LEC stated this type of circuit is not priority traffic so
latency will fluctuate based on other priority traffic. From CenturyLink
Ethernet Repair perspective this circuit is working as ordered. NOAA needs
to reach out to Centurylink Account Team to redesign circuit so that it
meets NOAA requirements.
