Thanks for the response...yeah I got word that map background layer was not
available. It would probably be useful for US complex terrain locations.
All weather is pretty much driven by terrain in the western 1/2 of the US.
Here's an example. Below is a link to a draft web page I am currently
developing. There is a large group of mountain 14er hikers(14,000+
mountain peaks) that come to Colorado. I created a geojson layer with
icons to highlight those peaks on an OpenLayers map. Right now, I found a
.gov topo/terrain map(arcGIS) for my background. I know the Government
wants us to stick with gov websites to pull these map backgrounds. I think
it would be very usefully, again, for those locations with complex
terrain(e.g. western 1/2 of US, Hawaii, and Alaska). The web page supplies
users with 14er point locations overlay, radar overlay, and if you click
the map, then a "point" forecast loads for that particular lat/lon.

If you add the topo layer, then I'll be happy to do some testing and
