Chelsea are poised to name club legend Frank Lampard as their caretaker
manager until the end of the season, replacing acting head coach Bruno
Saltor.

Since Graham Potter was fired last weekend, the Blues have been searching
for a new leader. Out-of-work Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann are two
names linked with the job.
Frank Lampard

Chelsea are set to appoint former record goal scorer Frank Lampard as
caretaker manager for the remainder of this season, according to The
Guardian. After Graham Potter's dismissal from Chelsea, talks have already
started between both parties in an effort to fill his shoes.

Lampard's appointment could be a major coup for Stamford Bridge as they aim
to finish the season strong. However, his appointment isn't seen as a
long-term solution and the club are considering up to seven managers in
their search for an interim boss.

Over his 13-year career at Chelsea, Lampard played an integral role in
helping them capture three Premier League titles and four FA Cups. He was
twice named Chelsea Player of the Year - 2005 and 2008 - as well as winning
FIFA Players' Player of the Year awards in 2005 and 2008.

He's been out of work since Everton sacked him in January, but 90min is
willing to step in as caretaker while they search for a long-term
replacement. We think this move would be very popular amongst those at
Stamford Bridge and we think he can be just the person to inspire them as
they aim for Champions League glory this term.
Bruno Saltor

Chelsea are set to appoint club legend Frank Lampard as caretaker manager
until the end of the season. On Tuesday night, he was seen at Stamford
Bridge watching Chelsea's goalless draw with Liverpool and is said to be in
advanced talks to return to management on an interim basis.

Lampard served as manager of Chelsea for three years until his departure in
January 2021. During that time, Lampard won the Champions League with
Chelsea and mentored a number of young players through his experience at
the club.

Bruno Saltor joined Chelsea in September 2022 after spending a decade
playing for Brighton. During that time, he made 235 appearances for the
Seagulls and earned promotion to the Premier League in 2017.

After his playing days are over, Saltor has spent the last two years
working behind the scenes at Stamford Bridge with Graham Potter to develop
players. Even at 36 years old, his defensive abilities have earned him a
place of honor in England's ranks.
Luis Enrique

Chelsea are set to name Frank Lampard as their caretaker manager until the
end of the season, The Times reports. Although he won't be able to resolve
all the problems at Stamford Bridge, his presence could provide an interim
boost.

Candidates for the role include former Spain and Barcelona manager Luis
Enrique, who recently flew to London for face-to-face talks. Julian
Nagelsmann and Mauricio Pochettino have also been linked with the role.

Chelsea co-owners Behdad Eghbali and Paul Winstanley are determined to
carry out a thorough process in their search for an appropriate long-term
solution. To this end, they have assigned Laurence Stewart and Paul
Winstanley the task of screening candidates.

Julian Nagelsmann

Frank Lampard has been suggested as a potential caretaker manager at
Chelsea for an interim period. This would give the club time to make a
decision on who will succeed him until that position becomes vacant.

Since being released by Everton in January, the former midfielder has been
linked with a return to management. It appears Chelsea have decided to give
him that chance; however, they may be wary of bringing him in too soon.

Chelsea are searching for a new manager after the departure of Graham
Potter. Potential candidates include Luis Enrique, Julian Nagelsmann and
Mauricio Pochettino among others.

Nagelsmann was a player for 1899 Hoffenheim before becoming the head coach
of RB Leipzig in 2019. He previously managed Bayern Munich, leading them to
back-to-back Bundesliga titles.
