All of us: I would ask that we save this for those in our organizations who forward IT mail straight to their Junk Folder, and then wonder why they can’t get their VMs.

New Voicemail System

OU has a new voicemail system that will change the way you retrieve your messages. If you currently dial 5-3000 to retrieve your voicemail, please call the new voicemail system at 5-1111 and follow the setup instructions here<http://askit.ou.edu/customer/portal/articles/1833068-avaya-aura---new-setup-instructions>.


Retrieving Voicemail as of April 25th

Beginning Saturday, April 25th you will need to call 5-1111 to retrieve you voicemail or set it up before that time to send your voicemail messages to your e-mail address by following the instructions here<http://askit.ou.edu/customer/portal/articles/1833068-avaya-aura---new-setup-instructions>. After Friday, May 1st you will not be able to retrieve your messages from the old system. This does not affect users that currently dial 5-0080 or 5-1111 to retrieve messages; this only affects users that currently dial 5-3000.


Updating Voicemail Name

For some users, the name stated during setup by the system will be that of a previous voicemail user for your number. If the voicemail name has not been updated to reflect you as the current owner, please e-mail needhelp at ou.edu<mailto:needhelp at ou.edu> with your phone number and name so we can update it.
